U.S. News and World Report Ranks Iowa #6 Best State
DES MOINES – Today, U.S. News and World Report ranked Iowa the #6 Best State overall, #3 state for Opportunity, #7 state for Long-Term Fiscal Stability, #9 state for Health Care Access, #9 state for Affordability, and #11 state for Education.
Iowa is up one spot from the 2023 overall rankings and up two spots in education.
“Iowa is recognized as one of the best states to live, work, and raise a family because we rely on common sense and respect the people we serve. We are on a path to being number one, and we are showing the country that small states can do big things,” said Gov. Kim Reynolds. “From cutting taxes and shrinking government to giving our teachers the largest pay raise in state history, I’m proud of the foundation we are building in Iowa.”
