Redwood Art Group had a few surprises lined up for Art Expo 2026. Taking live painting to an entirely new level on 2nd floor, combining live music / dancer / live painting. Featuring traditional / physical creations and artists who re-define / recreate the term. To a point, it was art world equivalent of a very small town.

2 floors, different experiences. Main floor: more traditional styles genres with some street / urban / modern art mixed in. 2nd floor was like walking the streets of any city / town, you can experience the duality. Styles you see on commissioned murals. Not exactly requested on buildings / parks / rail cars / you get the point.

4 1/2 hours, every walk-around experiencing something I missed. Maze of genres / styles / artists reminding us art is limited only to imagination. Conversation: Is it becoming harder to define genres? People are not really concerned about that, more personal taste / preference. High compliment here: needed to step outside twice to take a break.

Layout was perfect in one aspect. Hungry / thirsty / need a break? Cafe on far side of the expo. Not only take a break, meet new people; personal experience on this one. After 2 walk-throughs, actually needed a mental break. Everything started to blur together. Seriously, just the size, amount of galleries / artists.

A major point I always look for: security. Safety of everyone there is a top priority for Redwood Art Group. Security personnel were present but in background, not noticeable. Reality check, living in modern world, anything can go wrong in any moment. Attendees were focused on having a great time / the experience.

Another major point: Staff very friendly and always ready to assist, not only attendees but artists / gallery reps. Redwood Art group places a high priority on providing the best, possible experience.

Before I forget: Redwood Art Group created a perfect escape from outside world. Art Expo is a perfect chance to take a break from life / reality. Seriously, after about 1/2 hour, you can forget outside world exists.

Obvious on this point: were people buying? Yes. Several times, I noticed the wrapping station busy. People leaving with great additions to their homes, collections. Dots / a few empty spaces indicating sales. Personal fav: Cami Frare, 2 I could have bought in a heartbeat.

Art Expo New York is easily worth your time and money. Definitely family friendly, observed some children very excited to be looking at everything. Creating a true experience vs. walking around / observing. Education (especially talking to artists / gallery reps), live painting / creating, 2 floors with different experiences / a few surprises, escape from outside world / life. If you can't make New York, highly recommend experiencing one of Redwood Art Group's Fairs / Expos (Red Dot Miami has been on the list for a few years).

Suggestions:
Honestly, this may sound a little strange, more seats, possibly on perimeter of main floor. Cafe area / small section upstairs did provide a nice break. You always could go outside depending on weather. Later in the day, it was packed!!!!

As Art Expo New York continues to evolve, increase digital / interactive creations. Artists who will blow you away with what they can do with computers / technology, may have zero talent with traditional / physical art. People who continue to re-invent / define / create the future of how anyone defines art.

Important Note from Michael Phoenix: They did highlight artists re-inventing / defining the entire art world. Point blank: I was not 100% on Saturday, missed a very important section on Augmented Reality which is not mentioned in this review. Health issues can seriously screw up even a more laid-back day.
