BEN CLINE ANNOUNCES CAMPAIGN FOR RE-ELECTION TO VIRGINIA'S SIXTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
FINCASTLE, VA — Congressman Ben Cline (R-Va.) today announced his campaign for re-election as the Representative for Virginia's Sixth Congressional District, pledging to continue fighting for Virginia families and standing squarely alongside President Trump and his America First agenda.
“Despite Democrats’ efforts to silence nearly half of the state and erase our community’s values through illegal gerrymandering, we are still here, and we are still standing strong for our shared common-sense, conservative priorities. I am proud to have served the great people of the Sixth Congressional District, fighting to deliver real results for the Shenandoah Valley, Roanoke Valley, and Alleghany Highlands.
“Our Commonwealth has been under attack by Democrat leaders who prioritize political power, illegal aliens, and environmental radicalism over the needs of American citizens. Representing the people of the Sixth District, I have been working tirelessly to roll back government overreach, defend our constitutional rights, promote fiscal responsibility, and enhance the safety of our communities.
“I will never stop championing our shared common-sense, conservative values and ensuring the voices of Sixth District citizens are heard in Washington, D.C. He stands fully behind President Trump's effort to restore order and the rule of law at the southern border. He has an A+ rating from NumbersUSA and a 100% rating in the current Congress.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: Cline has consistently voted against bloated spending bills and Biden-era earmarks that exploded the national debt. As a member of the House Freedom Caucus, he has said no to Washington's addiction to spending taxpayer dollars, and he voted for the Working Families Tax Cuts to keep more money in the pockets of hard-working Americans. He has a 97% lifetime Heritage Action score and a 100% score in the current Congress.
CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS: Cline has been a leading voice in defending our Constitutional rights, introducing and supporting legislation that protects the right to life and expanding Second Amendment rights. He has a lifetime A+ rating on the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Scorecard and a lifetime A+ rating from the NRA. Most recently, he was awarded the 2026 National Shooting Sports Foundation’s Legislator of the Year Award for his successful elimination of the tax on suppressors as part of the Working Families Tax Cuts Act.
FIGHTING TO LOWER HEALTHCARE COSTS: Cline has worked to lower healthcare costs and is sponsoring legislation to encourage generic drug production. He has made it a priority to address the issues of our nation’s broken healthcare system to foster affordability and accessibility in the market place, especially in rural communities. He has advanced legislation that would increase flexibility for patients and lower the costs of pharmaceutical medicines.

Ben Cline lives, serves, and raises his family in the Sixth Congressional District. His values were shaped by growing up in Rockbridge County. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1990, received his B.A. degree from Bates College, and earned his law degree from the University of Richmond. Prior to Congress, Cline worked as an attorney, first serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in the city of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, and then working in private practice. He and his wife, Elizabeth, currently live in Botetourt County where they are raising their two daughters.
