one of the bands to light musikfest the fuck up!!!!
After an interesting evening with weather (I think 4 restarts in 4 hours), Musikfest went live to close out the evening. Bren with the full band was a #1 priority for FireCity Illusion. Getting the All Clear around 9:15, the headline says it all...
LIGHTING UP THE NIGHT, Bren and the band started off hard and fast. With a "We don't give a fuck / fuck you / time to get this festival seriously rocking" attitude; they woke up a relatively quiet day. Especially after the delays, they were one of few bands Musikfest desperately needed!!!!
One set, Bren covered it all. Mixing originals with covers. Giving the band a break on one song. Switching between Electric guitar and keyboard. Going loud and hard then backing off / slowing it down a few levels. They had a crowd standing and moving.
Originally introduced to Bren at Musikfest 2023, Bren (especially with full band) is on my short list to experience any chance I can. She may be from the Lehigh Valley, definitely another great example of one thing. Philadelphia indie, original, rock bands not only know the genre / they reinvent it. I told Bren, you are not a local. Local bands are not capable of what you did on that stage.
