Chairman Williams Issues Statement on Harris’ Small Business Tax Deduction Proposal
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25), Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, issued the following statement regarding Vice President Harris’ small business tax deduction proposal.
“Over the last four years, we've seen what a Harris Administration means for small businesses: high inflation, an unprecedented regulatory onslaught, and difficulty accessing capital,” said Chairman Williams. “This proposal is nothing more than an attempt to distract the American people from her dismal record on supporting America's job creators. The Committee on Small Business has held multiple hearings on tax policy, hearing directly from small business owners who all agree on one thing: the Trump tax cuts need to be extended. The former President provided a blueprint for small business success, and if Vice President Harris were serious about helping small businesses, she would focus on extending the provisions set to expire in the coming years.”
