Wild even during the day!
The 2025 Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is wild during the day! Located at Franklin Square, you will want to spend some time here. Plus, a great and free idea (free during the day) for the family. Each entrance has a different tunnel / theme.
Insects / flowers / ocean creatures are only the start. Every turn is something new / exciting / interesting. After 1 time around, exited Franklin Square / entered through another tunnel. 2nd time around found several displays I missed. You will want to spend some time here. Especially experiencing the size / detail of each creation.
2025 features a serious increase in exhibit education / interactivity!!!! Pay close attention to each section you walk up to. I remember a 2-player game with button pressing and lights. One entrance, you walk through an octopus. Description: actually, tiny octopus that glows, with enough venom to paralyze a human being.
At the center: Franklin Square's incredible fountain show! Day or night, something you have to experience. Don't forget to check out the challenging miniature golf course. Have small kids? Carousel ride would be perfect! Of course, food / beverages (including adult in evenings) are available. In other words, a one stop / perfect break from the city. The mini-golf part: every visit, when I have time, always go for 18. This time score: 53...
Honestly, I can't wait to experience 2025 Chinese Lantern Festival at night. There is a room with jellyfish hanging down that will be a wild experience. Plus, one of the entrances is lights. Plus, especially on weekends, gift shop / performances and more. Even during the day, it is easily worth time and a trip to Philadelphia.
Check photos / videos / video review: you might have a realistic idea about size of some displays. Kind of makes you feel small and certain things in better perspective. Oh, hidden in one corner: Chinese New Year symbols and years / descriptions. Like I said, wild / interactive / educational!!! Don't forget to bring the family and kids.
