Gov. Cox orders flags to fly at half-staff in honor of former U.S. Representative Mia Love
SALT LAKE CITY (April 3, 2025) – Utah Gov. Spencer J. Cox has issued an order for the flags of the United States of America and the great state of Utah to be flown at half-staff on all state facilities on Monday, April 7, 2025, in recognition of the life, legacy, and selfless service of former U.S. Representative Mia Love.
Rep. Love will lie in state at the Utah Capitol Building on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 7, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Institute of Religion on the University of Utah campus. The public is invited to attend.
Flags should be lowered to the half-staff position at sunrise on April 7 and returned to full-staff at sunset.
The governor extends an invitation to all private citizens, businesses and organizations to participate in this recognition.
