Gov. Reynolds issues statement on rural healthcare bill passing Iowa House committee
DES MOINES— Today, Gov. Kim Reynolds released the following statement in response to the Iowa House Health and Human Services Committee unanimously passing HSB 191, a bill to expand rural healthcare access across Iowa:
“Access to quality healthcare is vital for Iowans in every corner of our state,” Gov. Reynolds said. “I want to thank legislators for recognizing the need to increase the number of medical providers that call rural Iowa home by expanding medical residencies for physicians and incentivizing healthcare providers to practice in Iowa.”
