Governor Whitmer Continues to Fix the Damn Roads with a Project Starting This Week in Crawford and Roscommon Counties

LANSING, Mich. --  Today, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin bridge repairs this week in Crawford and Roscommon Counties. The bridge crosses the county line. Based on economic modeling, these investments are expected to support 12 jobs.

"It's officially the start of orange barrel season, and I'm excited to kick things off by moving dirt and fixing the damn roads across Michigan," said Governor Whitmer. "Since I took office, we've fixed 23,000 lane miles of road and 1,600 bridges, supporting thousands of good-paying, local jobs without raising taxes by a dime. This construction season, let's roll up our sleeves and keep getting things done, so Michiganders can get to work, drop their kids off at school, and run errands safely."

I-75 Bridge Repairs in Crawford and Roscommon Counties
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $1.3 million to make repairs to the I-75 Business Loop (BL) bridge over I-75 west of Roscommon. Work will include replacing pin and hanger joint assemblies and cleaning and coating the bridge’s structural steel. Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 12 jobs.
