2nd visit: easily worth the money
Wanted to a follow up review on Illumination. Easy to be impressed on a 1st visit, especially for something new. 2nd time completely blew me away like opening night! Walking in: Firepits / Festival of Trees / lights and more combined to make Illumination THE BEST holiday experience I've had.
I was right about food prices. Worked late, had dinner at Coca-Cola Park. Hot Dog: $3 / Cheese Fries: $5.25 / Diet Coke: $4.25 / Holiday Cheer Cocktail: $12 (definitely worth it). They didn't raise prices between Illumination and a regular Ironpigs game.
Total admission for 3 tickets (severe cold on 2nd attempt): $40. Even with the night I didn't go, easily and seriously worth the money.
Illumination is a complete holiday experience. Lights / walking around the field / festival of trees / firepits and more create a truly immersive experience. Add in selfie trail and a few surprises, it will rapidly be in the top of your holiday list. Honestly, I visit downtown Philadelphia / Manhattan during holiday season, Illumination blows away both. Bethlehem, the "Christmas City"? Very serious: don't waste your time there. Coca-Cola Park went all out year 1, can't wait to see how this evolves in 2025. If you can't make it before January 4, have it on your list for 2025. Don't forget to take photos and bring the family!
