Chairman Williams’ Statement Regarding the SBA’s Announcement on Immediate Changes to SBA Personnel
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX), Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, issued the following statement following SBA Administrator Loeffler’s announcement to reduce Agency personnel in order to right-size the SBA and reduce government waste.
“Under the Biden-Harris Administration, the SBA moved far away from its intended mission. Instead of serving Main Street America, the agency focused on electioneering, running ineffective, duplicative programs, and facilitating an egregious work-from-home policy,” said Chairman Williams. “It is time we stop wasting taxpayer dollars and refocus the SBA. I have full confidence in Administrator Loeffler’s ability to right-size the SBA to ensure the needs of hardworking small business owners across America are met.”
