Picture
2 December 2024, Lausanne, Switzerland – The International World Games Association (IWGA) proudly announces the official release of the IWGA Bid Book 2033, a comprehensive Bid Application Document and Questionnaire for cities interesed to host The World Games 2033. With this launch, the IWGA officially opens the bidding process, inviting cities worldwide to put forward their proposals to host this world-class multi-sport event.
The IWGA Bid Book 2033 serves as an essential resource, providing interested cities with a detailed roadmap to deliver an unforgettable event for athletes, fans, and partners from across the globe. Within the document, prospective hosts will find guidelines and critical requirements covering areas such as infrastructural needs, environmental sustainability practices, athlete accommodations, and community engagement plans, all designed to ensure a successful and sustainable event.
The IWGA encourages cities with a strong commitment to sports, sustainable growth, and community unity to submit their bid applications. Interested cities can access the IWGA Bid Book 2033, along with complete bid submission instructions, via the following link: IWGA Bid Book 2033.
IWGA President José Perurena highlighted the search for a host city that goes beyond meeting technical requirements, emphasising the importance of values and vision:
“The release of the Bid Book marks a significant milestone in our journey to find a host city that embodies the spirit of The World Games through excellence, inclusivity, and innovation. We’ve already engaged in meaningful discussions with cities that view our event as an exciting and beneficial opportunity, and we warmly invite cities worldwide to review this document and consider the chance to host The World Games 2033. Together, we can bring communities closer and celebrate the universal joy of sport.”
For further questions or assistance with the application process, the IWGA team remains readily available to support prospective host cities throughout their journey.
