Rep. Hageman: The choice is clear – Trump won on issues
Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyoming) today issued the following statement regarding the first 2024 presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden:
“What Jill Biden and the Biden campaign did to Joe Biden tonight – rolling him out on stage to engage in a battle of wits while unarmed – is elder abuse, plain and simple. No one who saw him in the 2020 debates would recognize him as the same man, because he is a ghost of his former self.
"In stark contrast, President Trump showed why he is leading in the polls, drawing sharp distinctions between his own performance as president and Biden’s. Americans want to return to Trump prosperity, to affordable food, fuel, and housing, to safe streets and secure borders, and to a world at peace. Everyone who will vote in this election has lived through both presidencies, and tonight’s debate was more proof that on issues, leadership, and vitality, Trump wins, indisputably.
“And just as Joe Biden lied in 2020 that his son’s laptop was ‘Russian disinformation,’ he lied again tonight about his record as president, the drooping economy, and the world he set on fire. The choice is clear – and we need four more years of President Trump.”
