Arriving around 15 minutes into the performance, Sunrise Cries OWNED the stage! Taking full control by using every inch to convey the almost off-the-charts energy they had. After experiencing this band 2 times, they earned a spot on my Favorite Bands list.

Float Away gave me a serious rush / one of performance main highlights. Lyrics and music (starting slow / building / backing off) easily proved they have experience of major recording artists. The power / raw emotion / hitting on every level, also proves they know Rock genre intimately. They performed it with the way it was written / recorded (listened to it a few times while doing review on Spotify). Lyrics: from a life filled with experience / someone who was not afraid to live and be alive. WOW doesn't even begin to cover this one!

1st experienced Sunrise Cries on a 40-minute set Sunday (review / performance: Tuesday). Ok, what can they do in a longer set. Another reason they perform / act like bands that have been around far longer? Speaking with the band, they know how to create a set list to maintain crowd attention. Mixing it up with "Ready for something from Nashville?"

Peyton (lead singer) adding acoustic guitar enhancing the band's sound performance. She is an entity on stage. This enigma that appears to become absorbed / part of the music. Easily reminded of Koser on stage (very high compliment). She almost didn't need the mic with powerful vocals and the emotion of every original song. Jack performing like a lead guitarist commanding the audience attention with every note, especially on solos. Miles (drums): his solo blew people away including two volunteers towards the back of Zinzenplatz. Reese (bass) performed like someone who has been playing for a few decades. Even the emotion in her face during songs conveyed her true love for music / performing.

In case you are curious: Full standing ovation at the end. Difficult to pull off at Musikfest. They saved most covers toward the end of performance. Sunrise Cries wanted everyone to know who they are and full capabilities as musicians. Easily pulled that off with every movement / note / lyric. Over 3 hours after the show, still have adrenaline / rush from experiencing it. How the crowd was just sitting there, no fucking clue. Check that: happens a lot at Musikfest. Main suggestion: Reese do 1 or 2 bass solos. Every member of the band was given equal focus, usually Bass players rarely get the solo spotlight.

My Favorite Band list includes indies / major recording artists. After 2 experiencing 2 performances, this band has EARNED a high place on that list! Float Away has earned a high place on my Favorite Song list.

Sunrise Cries gave an incredible performance on Sunday. Zinzenplatz: The band gave it everything they had and so much more. 90 minutes of pure energy / emotion / love for performing and music. Easily visible in Miles / Peyton / Rees / Jack every moment of those 90 minutes.
