original to say the very least. not backing down from being very real and unique a little closer.
Over 24 hours later, Trashy Annie's performance of this song still gives me the chills and goes right through me. Unfortunately, I didn't get the title or record the entire performance. Standing off to the side of Ameriplatz, was seriously moving to the song. In 48 years of loving music / over 11 years and a few thousand reviews, NEVER has one song performance had that effect on me. I am extremely serious.
Right off, the band let their music do the talking, no intros just straight up / fuck you rocking!!!! I mean that literally. Trashy Annie does not back down one millimeter from who they are. Usually, with bands you have a general idea of where they will go next. Trashy Annie? No chance in hell! Thought it would be a mix of Rock and Country, I was right for part of the show... The above video clip went way beyond catching me off guard. Throw in a humorous Backstreet Boys cover starting with a few seconds of metal.
Going back to the song above, it seriously showed the full range of this band. Acapella at one point, Trashy Annie showed a very serious side. The band was not afraid to make full use of a large stage. Watching each member's performance, Trashy Annie loves music and lets it take over. I want to do more than just sit and watch / listen to live music. Want to experience and feel it. Trashy Annie definitely has that covered.
Seriously, when I have the money, will travel just to experience this band again. Have a feeling each show will be a very unique experience.
Important Note: If you listen to video review, by that point I was completely exhausted. Mostly from coming down from the adrenaline rush of Musikfest (4 almost full days / 3 nights). Hit that wall every year and always forget about it. Rephrase: coming down from adrenaline / energy of the festival and incredible bands. Trashy Annie is in the top of that list.
