Washington Square

My first time in Manhattan during a serious snowfall. Just enough to cover ground and make everything, especially parks, look beautiful. 6 - 7 miles walking the city on Jan. 17. Great local businesses to stop in and warm up (especially coffee shops / and NYC pizza!). Stopped by my usual favs: Bryant Park / Union, Washington, Madison Squares. NYC is great during the warm weather, in winter / snow, the city shows a different kind of frozen beauty. I am not a cold weather person in the slightest. Loved walking the streets, experiencing the life / energy / noise on a winter's day / night. Snow did not stop the Farmer's Market at Union Square! Even in winter, a lot of people stopping to support vendors / find great food and other items. Planning a trip to NYC? If you like or can tolerate cold temps, definitely experience the city during a snowfall.
