Penn's Landing / Philadelphia

Philadelphia always goes all out with holiday fireworks! Experienced Labor Day / 4th of July shows at Waterfront / Penn's Landing. Wanted to kick off 2023 in this city. Better than the graveyard called Lehigh Valley, trust me. Start of another new holiday tradition.

New Year's Eve, Philadelphia has 2 fireworks shows (6 p.m. New Year's Eve / Midnight). Due to Square Drop / Frankin Square (very interesting / cool, especially for families), missed 6 p.m. experience. WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!

Arriving around 11:40, great spot dead even with barge / edge of wall. In case you can't tell from photo: Fireworks set off from barge on river. Rain stopped earlier providing the perfect night for the show. Easily 2 - 3k people between lower / upper sections.

Announcements / countdown / PHILADELPHIA WELCOMED 2023!!!!!! Serious rush 4 days later thinking about it. Fireworks were main highlight / one of the BEST New Years of my life. Might have to find out how a certain ball drop compares... Scroll down for video of experience / photos / video review.
