Welcome to the city!
2018 Out of the Darkness Walk (Suicide Prevention) / Philadelphia, PA
July 4, 2016 / Wawa Welcome America Festival (concert / fireworks):
Official launch of ValeCity. Perfect way to do it! 6 years later, still remember "fog of war" effect from rain during fireworks. Felt like I was at a battle during Revolutionary War (not joking). It was pretty much a "fuck you" to the Lehigh Valley. Covering the area for 4 years, locals still had the attitude: "It's only you. Thanks for covering / support!" Mentioned corporate media only.
ValeCity was always intended as a transition between A Valley and Beyond (1st official media) and covering only cities.
I built Valley / at the beginning ValeCity sleeping on a metal bus stop bench better part of 3 years. Proves what a homeless person can accomplish with a few believing in them. ValeCity evolved during pandemic. Growing list of serious credentials (Philadelphia / New York City / Camden NJ (XPoNential Music Festival). Covering everything from Valley arts / music to Clinton Campaign / President Obama. Not bragging or ego, proud of what was accomplished.
There were a few times almost walked away ("Is it really worth it?" / burnout). When your life / heart / passion are into something, almost impossible to walk away / give up.
6 years later: Welcome to the Fire.
I used to joke: "When I know exactly what I am doing / how to do it, time to quit". Joke is over. I know both and looking forward to what FireCity will accomplish / become.
