Affordable art fair

FireCity Illusion evolved (from Surreal ValeCity) at Metropolitan Pavilion. Noticed Affordable Art Fair on social media. Checked out website. 2 aspects seriously caught my attention. Curious about experience reviewing art shows? At least a few hundred (Lehigh Valley / Philadelphia / NYC).

- Special Kids Section: This was 1st art show / exhibition I remember having a place for kids. You could leave them with experienced professionals and enjoy the exhibit. Trust me, a good idea considering size of exhibition.

- One I wish could've attended: Art after Dark! Special ticket price and enjoy the exhibition / art / artists after hours. This sounds like one of the major highlights!

Affordable Art Fair lived up to the title, especially ticket prices. Most food / beverage prices between #3 - $8. Walking around, noticed art prices from $100 to several thousand. Remember a few points with artists here. 1) Cost of materials: brushes / canvas / paint / pencils / materials for sculpting are not cheap. 2) Cost of transporting creations to galleries / shows. 3) Marketing: Choosing free options are great, but, leading to 4) Time: Above all the most important to figure out. Not only how long the painting / sculpture / drawing / etc. takes. Time for marketing / promotion / travel / attending exhibit openings / shows and more.

The Fair had almost every genre / style you could think of. Abstract / fantasy always personal favs. Galleries displaying multiple genres. One aspect there could be more of: Digital / 3D / Interactive pieces. Either I didn't notice (tight schedule) or very few works / creations. Chance I could be a little spoiled by interactive galleries.

Overall: Affordable Art Fair is seriously worth your time. Right off, please support artists in some way. Honestly, tight budget limits financial support. Every creation is a part of artists' life and / or soul. Navigation: Make sure you have at least 2 hours here. It is a 2-floor maze with new artist / gallery around every turn (literally) on both floors! Great balance between food / non-alcoholic / alcholic beverages. Everything mentioned contributed to Affordable Art Fair making top 3 All Time best exhibitions / shows. Very serious: Can't wait for the Fall Show. As always, scroll down for photos / video review.
