Hitting on a deep, emotional level you didn't realize existed. My reaction to the performance / songs / Aliza's vocals.
Like most singer / songwriters, Aliza writes / sings / performs from personal experience. She draws from those experiences on a deeper level. Aliza does not hold back on her life. It is on this level that will bring back memories / ghosts you thought were forgotten or buried (personal experience at her performance). Her songs are not dark or light. They are they grey area called reality. Giving hope balanced with sadness / pain.
The music / band didn't compliment Aliza's songs / voice. They became part of the stories / experiences. Merging in a subtle way to truly make you feel every note and word.
The last song, if I remembered how to cry would have brought a few tears to my eyes. On more than one, it did bring back memories / ghosts for me.
Aliza is in a rare category the way she sings / performs. Again, making you feel on an emotional you didn't realize existed. Seriously looking forward to experiencing another performance this year. You need to Aliza Hava in your top priority list for live music.
