Avenue of the Arts Block Party is one of my favorite parts of Wawa Welcome America Festival. Focus on community / bringing people together, 2023 expanded. In addition to Broad St., Artists / stages / farmers market were located on connecting streets. Walk into Kimmel Center: another stage / great way to cool down / more family fun! Entertainment included live performances (multiple stages) from a wide range of arts including roller skating! Lean to play ping-pong on 2 tables. Hungry? Wide variety of food trucks to help in that area. Adult beverages? Beer Garden / Kimmel center had you covered in that area. Have kids? Not a problem, multiple areas to keep them occupied. Independence Blue Cross had tents set up (see photos) with free snacks / vitamin water. Great idea considering near 100-degree real feel.

Security is always huge with me. Philadelphia Police / security company made everyone feel safe while staying in the background / visible. Special Thanks in this area.

Looking forward to this all year, Avenue of the Arts Block Party exceeded expectations and seriously evolved. Wawa Welcome America has been high on the list every year since 2016. Launched Surreal ValeCity July 4 at the festival. If it is continued next year (Welcome America evolves / changes), definitely bring the family for a great summer feel. Avenue of the Arts Block Party was a great escape from everything happening in our society / country / world. People united to have a great time, enjoy summer / 4th of July weekend.
