dear thirteen
Thanks to Adam Segal / The 2020 Group Publicity for press release! Rare occasion where a film trailer caught my attention watched it multiple times. Each viewing, increased interest in film.
Growing up in 70's / 80's, very curious how this film is presented. Sympathy for current generation of teenagers vs. comparing growing up in different generations / time periods. How much research went into the film? Example: Will different sides / opinions be presented. Different experiences on same topic / subject.
One aspect I really liked: Different parts of the world. People (regardless of age) face different challenges in the same area depending on where you live. Freedom of Speech / Expression prime example.
When I watch the film, will be comparing it to when I grew up. Especially in areas of technology / internet / social media. Another aspect: personal experiences (bullying / trying to fit in / figure out who you are).
From the trailer alone, Dear Thirteen is definitely worth your time to watch, even if it is not in your favorite genre list (love sci-fi / fantasy).
