Dracula beyond stoker
Seriously, can't remember last book I had time to read. Personal aversion to print (if I can't re-download it...). Covering Fan Expo Philadelphia 2023, always get into great conversations at Artist Alley. Dracula / vampires have always been a fav.
Started with the short White as Snow, Red as Blood. Captured my attention to the point couldn't wait to read Issue 1 (full book). Dracula Beyond Stoker is a compilation of short stories, at times not what I expected.
Starting with intro / background, didn't really grab my attention. Held it to the point where I didn't give up. Dracula Origins, a bit graphic, gave us a more traditional Dracula story. With a slight twist showing a man (vampire) who kept his word while being the monster we know and love.
Not going to break down each story. Dracula Beyond Stoker picks up with surprises from this point.
Each author presenting a different side of Dracula. Ranging from heartless vampire to compassionate creature who has not lost his humanity. Not necessarily organized in a timeline, the book jumps around. After finishing it, I did see structure in randomness. Personal fav: Dracula telling his side on Twitter! You really have to check out this one. Hysterical / serious / refreshing at the same time.
I didn't want to stop reading / put down Dracula Beyond Stoker. Each story leading into the other, capturing me from the 1st page. Very highly recommend it for anyone (maybe the over 18 crowd). Like I said, can't remember when I had to read a book. Dracula Beyond Stoker was worth every second.
