Fanfaire NYC
After noticing post on social media, definitely checked out website. Scanning front page alone, made the list for that NYC trip. Previous experience covering Big Apple Comic Con / Fan Expo / Wizard World always gets me excited for this type of event.
Cool / Very Cool! Only way to describe Fanfaire NYC. Arriving later than planned / on a fairly tight schedule, didn't have time to explore Cosplay / Tabletop gaming rooms. Overall, think of a very scaled down major comic con. Or, high school version of one (space). Main room was in cafeteria. Student artists of various styles / genres main focus. A few very small donations for college funds.
Was it worth the $30 admission (final decision made day of)? Easily, if for no other reason than to support the school / students. Will FireCity be covering it next year? Yes. Hopefully, with more time to dedicate.
