BERLIN (February 13, 2024) – Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment (FME) is set to showcase an impressive lineup of acquisitions, EFM premieres, and screenings at the 2024 European Film Market (EFM). With several successful elevated genre films under its belt, the company has built a reputation for acquiring and producing high-quality films that are star-studded and commercially viable.

Among Film Mode Entertainment’s brand-new acquisitions and EFM market premieres are THE LAST STOP IN YUMA COUNTY and THE KEEPER.

We see a new trend of success developing during trying times in the industry as well as the world at large and look forward to working with all of our colleagues to ensure it continues.” Said Epstein, President of Film Mode Entertainment.

In THE LAST STOP IN YUMA COUNTY, a traveling knife salesman finds himself stranded and forced to wait at an isolated rest stop. He soon realizes he has wandered into a violent hostage situation upon the arrival of two bank robbers who are on the run after a recent heist. As other trapped patrons at the restaurant begin to conspire against the criminals, the pressure intensifies from dangerous to deadly.

THE LAST STOP IN YUMA COUNTY was produced by Matt O’Neill, Atif Malif and Francis Gallupi.

“The Last Stop Yuma County elevates the genre bar to new heights, featuring an unrivaled ensemble cast and fills a hole in the international marketplace to deliver a film that audiences have been waiting for that not only meets but exceeds expectations.” Said Clay Epstein, President of Film Mode Entertainment.

"Screening THE LAST STOP IN YUMA COUNTY with an audience in The States has been an incredible experience, and I'm excited to announce our partnership with Film Mode Entertainment to help bring this movie to audiences worldwide." Said Gallupi.

THE KEEPER
Film Mode Entertainment has also just acquired the new horror film, THE KEEPER, from the creator of FINAL DESTINATION. The film, which was just released in the US under the name THE BELL KEEPER, stars Randy Couture (Expendables, Big Stan), Mike Manning (This Is Us, Teen Wolf, Days of Our Lives) and Bonnie Aarons (The Nun, Mulholland Drive). THE KEEPER is directed by Colton Tran (Snow Falls, The Sex Lives of College Girls), produced by Kevin Weisberg, and executive produced by Jeffrey Reddick (Final Destination).

“The Keeper is the ultimate horror film that audiences around the world have been clamoring for. The extremely talented team in front of and behind the camera have brought some of the most commercially viable and standout horror films to audiences around the world and have successfully created a new movie that combines the most vital and powerful elements of the genre, with twists and turns that are guaranteed to keep moviegoers glued to the screen.” Said Clay Epstein, President of Film Mode Entertainment.

“Randy Couture gives his best performance since his entry into feature films in The Kepper," said producer Kevin Weisberg. “The Keeper will keep horror fans at the edge of their seats and have audiences fearful of any sounds of ringing bells. The supporting cast shines and the well written script will entertain viewers across all genres.”

In THE KEEPER, a group of friends travel to a secluded campsite to film a true crime documentary about the mysterious disappearances in the woods. They hear ghost stories about the creepy Keeper, who manages the land, killing any kids who dare to ring the haunted bell. After unleashing a malevolent curse, they're forced to turn on each other, caught between the relentless Keeper and the looming threat of possession.
The film was recently released in North America to rave reviews, including, “Couture embraces the madness.” by Lyle's Movie Files, “An enjoyable horror ride.” by Film Threat, and a “Classic slasher” by Haven of Horror.
Film Mode Entertainment has taken on international rights for THE KEEPER.

It has been at the forefront of this movement, providing a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work and reach a wider audience. Film Mode Entertainment raises the genre-bar for feature films by nurturing high-quality, engaging commercially viable movies like THE LAST STOP IN YUMA COUNTY and THE KEEPER and bringing them to the global marketplace with great success.
