First NPA poll of 2024 South Carolina GOP primary: Trump holds big lead
Former President Donald J. Trump holds a significant lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the 2024 South Carolina Republican presidential primary, a new poll conducted by consulting firm National Public Affairs (NPA) finds. Trump leads DeSantis by 22 points, 43 percent to 21 percent. Former United Nations Ambassador and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is third at 19 percent, while South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott is the only other candidate outside the margin of error, at 7 percent.
