Autumn / Halloween @ Franklin Square has 2, very cool, parts. Depending on what time you arrive, experience both almost simultaneously.
Franklin Square is 1 of 2 favorite squares in Philadelphia. Especially during holiday season! I consider Halloween start of it. I thought Christmas decorations were wild. You definitely have to check out miniature golf for Halloween! Due to tight schedule, only had a chance for 6 holes. A true Halloween experience for everyone. Light show / fog / a few surprises have a smile on my face a week later. This one is also for the kids.
Tips: arrive early on weekends (starts at 6 p.m.). Might want to purchase advance tickets. 7:35 arrival: waited around 20 minutes to enter. No complaints! Leading to part 2...

Recommend Franklin Square on top of your Philadelphia list almost any time of year (January - March obvious exception). Halloween is a great time to bring the family. Even if you don't miniature golf, noticed people sitting around the fountain. Enjoying a beautiful evening.
