MONTGOMERY – Governor Kay Ivey on Friday released a video message for Memorial Day ahead of the holiday weekend, honoring America’s fallen service members and calling on Alabamians to live worthy of their sacrifice.
In her message, Governor Ivey reflects on the courage of those who gave their lives defending the nation and encourages Alabamians to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day as families gather across the state. She also urged Alabamians to carry forward the values for which America’s servicemen and women gave their lives.

Our fallen heroes left behind families, futures and unfinished stories…all so the rest of us could live free and proudly call ourselves Americans.
