Very special Thank You to staff @ Coca-Cola Park for making 2023 Great American Blast an incredible event!
Video: No intro / song / speaker, first one went up! Almost 20 minutes non-stop. Check below for rest of the show. For some reason, woke up, didn't feel like Independence Day for me. Just another summer day. For 1st time since 2015 (2020 exception), wasn't in the mood to cover Philadelphia (bad owner). Had a kind of "Been there, done that" feeling. Decided to get a ticket to Great American Blast. Remembered it from last year, "What the hell, something to do on the holiday". After 20 minutes in the park, finally started getting into the spirit with 5 hours left... Better late than never?
I think the Cheeseburger / Cheese Fries / Diet Coke / Strawberry Lemonade Frozen Vodka helped the cause. Mainly, people getting together / celebrating what the holiday is about. Celebrating our independence and Freedoms given by all the people who died to secure them. But, mainly having a great time, enjoying life / summer. No politics / social issues / protesters (give them time...).
One of the chances to get down on the field / play games / bouncy castles and train for kids / look at the stands for a change. Weird part: food / alcohol lines were very short / non-existent. No complaints here! Check below for photos / videos / fireworks show. Feel free to comment.
