Looking for something new / holiday edition. Found out about the Holiday Market / Columbus Circle on social media. Arriving via 8th Avenue, initially was not too impressed. It appeared to be very small. Huge mistake on this one!
Walking through the Holiday Market, love it and very huge!!!! Layout: type I love, walking through a village vs. everything around central point. Like Holiday Market / Union Square, you actually felt like walking through an actual Christmas village. Food was centralized in a main area. Breakfast: Thanksgiving dinner in an Empanada, great choice!
Layout / size: honestly, you may need the map for this one. Stopped by information booth, found out 170 vendors. Like I said, huge village. Vendor variety: Went into Christmas eve with the mentality: Holiday gift shopping / giving done! Yeah, right... "That person would love this! Perfect for that person!!!" Seriously did some last minute, unplanned, shopping here. Can never resist supporting indie creators / vendors at holidays.
You need to make Holiday Market / Columbus Circle a very high priority. Perfect addition to you New York City holiday experience. Don't forget to bring the family / kids. Bring some extra cash for excellent food / unplanned holiday shopping. Depending on weather, enjoy a little of Central Park and rest of Columbus Circle.
