2022 1st time @ Holiday Market Union Square / NYC. Loved it right off! Main reason I love is also main drawback.
Holiday Market is set up differently than most Christmas Villages / Holiday Markets. You are walking through streets of a small village, literally. Wooden huts resembling German Christmas Village wind around far end (step / vendor area) of Union Square. Creating a large market in relatively small physical area. Walking through the "streets" is interesting part at times...
Like every Holiday Market / Christmas Village, arriving early is your best choice. Fairly narrow (see photos / video review) leads to heavy traffic / some challenges navigating. Point blank: depending on arrival time / day: Wishing you best of luck. It is fucking crowded!!!! Think 1st walkthrough was around 2:30 on a Saturday.
Holiday Market / Union Square rapidly became a personal / professional holiday tradition. After 2022, couldn't wait to walk through / check out amazing vendors / food / beverages. Sometimes, large crowd helps us get into holiday mood / spirit. Know that may sound crazy, it works trust me.
