Seriously has my curiousity...
Almost impossible to achieve in Lehigh Valley, Pa area. Received press release about Lehigh Valley Comic Con. Checked out website, very impressive. The event has been on low priority list for years. Location / travel time main factors until April 2024. For the 1st time: Agriplex / Allentown Fairgrounds.
Viewing website, I always check Guests / Celebrities 1st / 2nd: Artist Alley (always do a straight line for this part at any convention). Honestly, Guests was extremely impressive. Some names I recognized right off: Rebecca Holden (grew up in 80's) / Jeremy Clark / Scott Hanna. One I can't wait to check out? Holly G (Love the title Witch of the Black Rose). Artist / Creator Alley: Wide variety of creators to say the least. More impressive than Guest list, Artist / Creator Alley includes authors / jewelry designers / crafts / artists. Don't worry, there is more!
4 vehicle replicas from 80's tv shows / movies will be there. Highlighting this is so much more than a comic con. You have to check out the website to find out which ones. One area I don't know too much about, still impressive list: Cosplay Corner. Long list of vendors, even a few droids / robots wind out categories.
I have been to Agriplex / Fairgrounds several times. One area of curiosity: how it will all fit into the building! Seriously, I have covered Wizard World / Pennsylvania Comic Con (lasted 2 years, thanks ReedPop for killing this one!) / Fan Expo / Big Apple Comic. Lehigh Valley Comic Con completely caught me off guard. A major city comic con in Allentown was not expected. What really caught me off guard: admission price a lot lower than expected, especially for a major event.
Lehigh Valley Comic Con is 1 of only 2 events FireCity Illusion will be covering in the area for 2024. Tips: 1) Bring the family, almost everyone can afford admission. 2) Plan on spending at least a few hours here to experience everything. This is stop 1 of 2 for the day. Planning on arriving at 10 a.m. and definitely not doing a quick run-through.
There is something rather important missing from website: If Guest / Celebrity autographs, photos will be available and prices.
