lehigh valley ironpigs
Photos from 4 games, including home-opener (Ironpigs won 5 -3). Not a sports person in the slightest (music / arts). Love going to the games for several reasons.
1) Price: General Admission (lawn) is $11.00. Highest is usually around $33.00. Right off, great prices for admission even for a family! This one goes into next point, food.
2) Food: My standard? Hot Dog / Cheese Fries / bottle of Diet Coke: Around $15. If you don't mind longer lines, check out $1 hot dog days! Alcohol / Mishika Bay Breeze: $10. Please don't forget to tip! Scroll through photos below to check out dinner at a game. Food is always fresh and tastes excellent!!!!
3) Live music before game: Like I said, love music. Walk through main entrance, live music to your right before every game.
4) Fan involvement / between innings / theme nights: Between innings, don't be surprised to see fans involved in competitions. Every night (home games, obviously) has a theme and / or giveaway. Opening night had great t-shirts celebrating 15 years! Again scroll through photos towards end.
5) Fireworks! Friday / Saturday night home games, stick around for a great fireworks show!!!!
6) Watch out for foul balls / homeruns: Depending on where you are sitting, not joking in the slightest.
7) Beautiful Park / Excellent Staff: I still remember my dad taking me to my first Ironpigs game (May 2011). Wasn't expecting much, lived in NC when they started. Jaw dropped when I waked into park "This is beautiful!!!!" Going back to foul balls / homeruns: We were sitting on 1st base line. He told me at crack of bat, look up. Of course, didn't believe him. Think it was 3rd pitch: "You were not kidding!" Foul ball near us. I can't say enough about staff. Always ready to provide information in a friendly / professional manner. Behind the counter: Staying on top of every order, never losing their cool.
8) Cutest Mascots: Ferrous / Fefe (very rarely use this word) CUTEST mascots outside of Phillie Phanatic. They walk around + have your kids photos taken with them.
Important Tip: If you experience a night game, early season (April to usually mid-May). NEVER forget a sweatshirt / jacket! Reminded of that point (not the only one) on April 21. Checked temps, not a problem! Forgot about stadium can become a wind tunnel.
Lehigh Valley Ironpigs game(s) is one of only 2 Lehigh Valley events FireCity Illusion can recommend. Honestly, only down point for me: too many stands where you can purchase alcohol for ballpark size. There is a balance of food / alcohol. Every game, by the 6th inning, observe people drunk. 2020 exception (obviously) attended several games every year. Never noticed even 1 person getting out of control. Guest safety is always a top priority.
As always, scroll down for photos / video review. Take some time to scroll through all the photos. Will give you a great idea of views from different seating areas.
