macy's Holiday Celebrations
4 years of covering Philadelphia / holiday season. 2022: 1st year Macy's Holiday Light Show. Honestly, 1st time in Macy's on Market Street. Light show definitely worth the wait!
Not knowing what to expect, very impressive. Escalator to 2nd floor, dead center, great spot! Looking around, very few places without a great view. 2 floor animated light show tells the holiday season story. Starting with Nutcracker, even Frosty the Snowman was not left out.
Located across from City Hall, light show is a part of Macy's Holiday Celebrations. Combined with Dickens Village / Santa / Christmas Villages (Love Park / City Hall / WinterGarden), perfect way to get into holiday spirit. Make sure you bring the kids. Tip: Light Show is every 2 hours Friday - Sunday (Mon - Thurs: 4 & 6 p.m.), arrive early. Several spaces / 2 floors for viewing, it packs a crowd.
