Battleship new jersey
Placing wreath into Delaware River
Words in any language do not exist to convey the emotion of this ceremony. 10 years of covering events between Lehigh Valley / NYC / Philadelphia / recently Camden. I can't remember an event almost impossible to describe.
Found out about this through Battleship New Jersey's website. Touring the Battleship was high on the list. Wanted to cover an event for Memorial Day. Arriving early, had a chance to speak with people from the Battleship and Camden County government.
The event was packed with more seats added shortly before it began. To say everyone was respectful is a very severe understatement. More than once, a speaker tried very hard not to break down while at the podium. Honestly, scroll down for videos / photos / video review. Like I said, words do not exist in any language...
