moms for liberty
For those of limited intellect: This is an editorial / opinion of one person, not facts. Time for short version of video article.
Found out about Moms for Liberty through corporate / mainstream media headlines. Mainly about the protests. Checked out their website. Read a few articles about the summit / protests. As of this editorial (July 4, 2023), no response to interview request from Moms for Liberty.
FireCity Illusion maintains a strict policy to remain unbiased / neutral especially in areas of politics / elections. Both FireCity Illusion / Michael Phoenix (founder / staff) fully support a person / organization right to all freedoms. In this case, speech and peaceful assembly. With that out of the way...
One of the protests was diagonal from Reading Terminal Market entrance. The signs seriously pissed me off. One stated "Philly is Black City". According to these protesters, if you are not black (brown) you are not welcome in Philadelphia and should avoid. Glad to know that! Other signs calling Moms for Liberty Communists / Neo-Nazis / Fascists. Normally, I would approach the protest and have a conversation or 2. Pick up some information and learn a little. Honestly, even though Philadelphia Police were visible, 1st time I was concerned about personal safety doing this. I was smart, stayed across the street.
These people were not protesting an event / organization. They were attempting to incite / escalate a potentially volatile situation. Then they would play the victim. Mainstream / corporate media / indies who take their side would blow it way out of proportion.
The United States Constitution protects rights of EVERYONE! Regardless if we agree with them or not. In my opinion, protesters violated rights to Freedom of Speech / peacefully assemble (in this case) of Moms for Liberty and everyone attending. I can easily believe how anyone attending the summit, including media would not feel safe.
Too many lines are / have been crossed with certain groups / individuals. Hiding behind illusions of being the victim. Or filing lawsuits / civil rights violations to enforce their opinions / beliefs on others. Attempting to take away rights / freedoms of those who disagree.
When will the final line be crossed? When will we peacefully stand up to those who act like what they allegedly oppose? When will we finally, peacefully, say ENOUGH!? When are people going start acting like fucking adults instead of spoiled little children? We are human beings above everything else.
For the record these statements are not supporting groups like LGBTQ community (in general) / Blacks (in general) or others. Seriously stand against a business being forced to serve customers that may violate the owners rights. Pride / Black / Women's history months? Seriously, be proud of who / what you are. Celebrate your history / heritage. Don't force it on others. The whole transgender thing? Pronouns I use: He with men / She with women / It with everyone else. Stop being afraid of losing in your biological category. Nothing but a bunch of cowards especially with men (biologically) competing in women's sports. All comments received will be posted and unedited.

Glad to know I should never go to Philadelphia because I am not black. Last time I checked ALL skin colors live there.
Washington Square: Images included to remind Freedom of Speech / Peaceful Assembly is for ALL people, not only the ones we agree with.
