noelle defelice
Time to party, NYC Rock Style! The way Noelle and her band announced their show! 1st two songs serious rock / pop. Perfect way to take a break from all the holiday fun / stress / overkill / you get the point. Song 3 is one of my favorite parts of the show.
Slowing it down and catching the audience off guard. Noelle / her band (Nya Holmes, Bass / Ezra Beber, Drummer / Josie Azuriz, Piano / Miles Tanner, Guitar) were not afraid to show their full range right off. Pattern continued throughout the set. Never knowing which direction they will go. I have seen this backfire in major ways. Seriously not the case here. Love it when a band controls pace and crowd reaction. Speaking of...
Every song / sometimes during, cheers / shouts / applause at a level 3 - 4 times venue size, not joking in the slightest. Kind of surprised I still had full voice after show. It wasn't the "ok song is over, time to clap" reaction. Everyone, myself included, sincerely loved every moment. In other words, audience reaction was earned. Time for final main point / time to wind it out.
Major / serious credit to Noelle for this one. In addition to full band on stage, members were given a break during certain songs. Noelle highlighted each member showing their true strengths / range. Another aspect I love when a singer / band does this. It also emphasized how they evolve / merge as a full band.
Check that, finally: Guitarist (Miles Tanner): Especially on ballads / slower songs, seriously haunting way of playing, only way to describe it. A few times, somehow, sounded like a violin.
