Great way to kick off holiday edition! 2nd visit to Roosevelt Island. Found out about parade / extravaganza from flyers on the island. Temps around 80 (on Oct. 28...), perfect day for a parade / festival. Parade was not what I expected.

Roosevelt Island Halloween parade was a "walking parade": no floats / motor vehicles. Perfect style for Roosevelt Island. Grew up in a small town. Parade had a true community feel to it. Starting at one end of the island, ending on the other. Everyone enjoying a beautiful autumn day and celebrating Halloween. Kind of hard to describe.
