spruce street harbor park
Philadelphia's Waterfront has a lot of great places during warm weather. Piers / Parks / Outdoor dining, great for walking or taking a break to enjoy the city. Spruce Street Harbor Park is one my favs. Fountains / hammocks / games (Connect Four anyone?) are just the start. Tip: Usually try to arrive a little early if you want a hammock. Beautiful escape from the city.
Spruce Street Harbor Park has more! An actual mini-boardwalk with information booth / arcade (for those who don't remember... Look it up!). Hungry? Stop by one of the food vendors. Short walk from Ferry / Seaport Museum / BlueCross River Rink. Spruce Street Harbor Park easily should make your "must experience" Philadelphia list. Downside: Seasonal / not good during rain.
