The bowery electric
Introduced to this music venue thanks to favorite band Velvet Rouge! The Bowery Electric rapidly made the NYC favorite list. Check photo below from inside. 2 stages provide great music and comedy (check schedule)! Here is what I really love about the place.
From the moment I walked in, very welcoming / "You belong here" atmosphere. Low lit with seating across from the bar helps you escape the city. Great bartender / staff seriously add to this major point.
Live music: Not had a chance to check out downstairs stage yet. A bartender told me it is larger area with higher capacity. Stage area / main level: Honestly, small. Stage is large enough to fit a five member band. 25 people pack out this section. Tip: If you want to go to bar, don't enter early. Advantage: provides a much more intimate setting. Especially if band wants to interact with crowd. There is a ticket / cover for bands. Best bet: check schedule for all information.
Any time I am around the Hudson / Bowery area, try to stop by. Even if I don't want to check out a band (can this happen?). List The Bowery Electric is on, very short.
