beyond anything i dreamed
I have always been a fan of science fiction. Checked out some photos / videos of The Sphere before my Las Vegas trip. Believe me, what you see online / in this article is only a slight preview.
The Sphere needs to be in your top 2 for a Las Vegas trip / vacation. Very serious here, tickets between $100 - $250 (plus taxes and fees) it will be something you will never forget and easily worth the money. If you can pull it off, go for Director's Package. Reason: Best seats, you are mid-level and don't get a neck strain looking up / down. Plus, extra benefits make it easily worth it (shorter lines also help).
Get ready for a 2-part experience that will completely blow you away!!!!! I am hard to impress, the moment I walked into the Atrium (part 1): "What the fuck am I experiencing?!?!?!" You are transported into the future in almost every literal sense of the term. By the time I was done walking around: "If this is the future, I can't wait!" Robots with advanced AI take the movie I, Robot to a new level (love the movie). Holograms / digital art: the evolution I have been praying to see in exhibits / galleries. DO NOT MISS the 360 Avatar Capture.
Part 2, Postcard from Earth:
I have experienced VR before. The Sphere goes way beyond that without head / body gear. I have an inhuman fear of heights with nothing around me. To give an idea of how immersive the show is, had to mentally tell myself: "I am sitting down, can't fall. Can we get a little closer to ground now?" Immersion factor here is off the charts, literally. Seats shaking at times, I remember an elephant walking towards the crowd. You felt every time its foot hit the ground. Honestly, I thought the story was going to be another "Save the Environment!" "You will do what the tree hugging, cave dwellers tell you." Could not have been more wrong on this point. Opening scene to closing credits, an essential aspect of experience. Driving sensory experience / visuals to never-experienced levels. If this is not really your thing, there might be a major band performing. I can't even imagine what that experience would be like. Screw the front row seats on this one!
Overall:
The Sphere is something you need to experience at least one time in your live, again, very serious. Important note here: Pay attention to warnings "If you have these conditions..." They are not joking around or taking things lightly. Like I said, inhuman fear of heights with nothing around me. A few moments I had to mentally ground myself in the physical reality. Examples: "I am sitting down. I can't fall." Not trying to discourage you, wanted to give you personal experience here. I am planning another trip to Las Vegas in 2025. Director's Package for The Sphere will be #3 on purchase list right after plane ticket / hotel reservation.
